The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system  naturally found in all vertebrates and many invertebrates.. It consists of endocannabioids (neurotransmitters) that bind to cannabinoid receptors within the brain and body.
There are 2 types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are found in the central nervous system, the spinal cord and brain. Thus CB1 receptors have an important role with memory, mood, sleep.
CB2 receptors are found in the peripheral nervous system and they play an important role in fighting inflammation and reduction of pain.
Therefore, CBD can help regulate your body by binding to these receptors (CB1 and CB2). The binding of CBD to these receptors will create a trigger response to the neurons and it will result in a series of events needed for your body in order to create a healthy environment.
